A successful multiplier event of the European project, MaQuaM “International Qualification on Marine and Tourism for the Mediterranean harbours” was conducted by Strategis Maritime ICT Cluster on April 29, 2022, from 14:00-17:00, at the Piraeus Business Center, Ag. Dimitriou 41, 185 46, Piraeus.
The MaQuaM project for nautical & coastal tourism is co-funded under the Erasmus+ KA2 program: Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of Good Practices – Strategic Partnerships for Adult Education (n. 2020-1-IT01-KA202-008459).
The main purpose of the MAQUAM multiplier event was the announcement of the pilot training program “Manager of integrated services for boating and coastal tourism.” This MaQuaM program will be offered by Strategis Maritime Center of Excellence in collaboration with the GMC Maritime Training Center & Maritime Academy from May to October 2022, free of charge to a group of 30 Greek students.
The MAQUAM multiplier brought together stakeholders of the VET community [Vocational Education & Training] from our region to promote the priorities and activities of Erasmus+ 2021-2027; present cases of local Erasmus+ projects in the marine and maritime sector; and identify opportunities for new training projects that advance the Digital Education Action Plan and the European Skills Agenda.
We warmly thank all the speakers for their insightful presentations and the attendees for their active participation in the discussion on the Erasmus+ Marine and Maritime Vocational Education & Training.
