🌐Connecting Maritime Innovation with European Ecosystems
🌍 Collaboration is the driving force behind innovation and regional competitiveness!
STRATEGIS – Maritime ICT Cluster was pleased to participate in “Clusters Meet Regions – Scaling Innovation through Clusters”, held in Athens, Greece, on 6–7 October 2026, and co-organised by the European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP) and the Region of Attica.
During the session “Cluster Pitches and Cooperation Opportunities – Greece, Attica and Europe,” Dr. Gregory Yovanof, Managing Director of STRATEGIS Maritime Center of Excellence, presented our cluster’s role in connecting the Greek Maritime and Blue Economy ecosystem with European innovation networks.
The presentation highlighted STRATEGIS’ commitment to advancing the Digital and Green Transformation of the maritime sector, supporting SMEs, fostering technology transfer, and bridging the gap between research and market deployment.
🔹 What we bring to European partnerships: Access to the Greek maritime ecosystem, expertise in emerging maritime technologies, support for collaborative R&D and entrepreneurship, and an established network of Mediterranean and international partners.
🔹 What we are looking for: Strategic cluster alliances, partners for joint European R&I projects, technology and business collaborations, and cross-sector innovation opportunities connecting maritime with AI & Robotics, Defence/Dual-Use Technologies, Energy, Tourism and Blue Biotechnology.
The event offered an excellent opportunity to engage with fellow clusters, regional innovation stakeholders and European partners, reinforcing our conviction that clusters are essential bridges between research, industry and international markets.
Our thanks to the ECCP, the Region of Attica, Innovation Attica and the Regional Development Fund of Attica for bringing together such a dynamic European innovation community.
🚀 STRATEGIS: A catalyst for change in the Blue Economy.
We look forward to turning new connections into meaningful collaborations and joint innovation initiatives!
