We are excited to bring you the latest updates from the IKAT project where we are working diligently to promote innovation, sustainability, and resilience in the European Union’s blue economy sector.
At this point we have successfully completed the first Open Call to SMEs to support the provision of innovation and development consultancy services, bringing us one step closer to achieving our goals.
A total of 70 SMEs from 4 different countries enthusiastically participated in this Open Call, which had a closing date of 19 May 2023.
After an evaluation process, 43 applications were approved to finance the requested actions to support innovation and commercial development.
The countries of origin of the SMEs with the granted proposals are:
• Spain 15 companies
• Italy 8
• Greece 17
• Portugal 3
The action of the first call will be completed on October 31, 2023, with the payment by the IKAT project of all approved grant awards to the winners.
We are pleased to announce that there will also be a new call for support to SMEs which is in the planning stage. The announcement of this new call will be made by the end of the year.
